It’s a wonderful, warm, some what sunny day, today in the big city of Toronto, where I am currently. Took a little bit of time away from the office and work to come and visit my parents, friends and family. While driving to meet up with few of my business friends (yes sometimes its not all about work or business) I noticed a sign in the middle of a busy intersection. The sign stated a give away “one free month of insurance to the first 50 customers who would call the company” (I will not be giving out any names). No kidding huh? Are they serious I thought to myself. That must cost couple thousands, specially if your insurance rate isn’t very attractive because of your history. However, I think this is also some what of a catch for meeting you or rolling you into something else but don’t hold me against that might be just true honesty of a deal, you had to come in, sit down and discuss a quote after the free month is up. Alright enough of the rumble, lets get to the point.

That got me thinking. Since we as designers and developers, specially business owners are always looking to jump into a new trend of business. Heck, why not follow the same scheme, change it, improve it and offer it to my past, present and new clients? Why not, there is no obligation for any purchase, nothing to subscribe to, just a give away, right? Correct! I think the nice spring warm type of day and little sunny is also making me crazy if you think about it. read more

Recently I and my team have been looking at a design that we have been working on which of course included implementing the design into Wordpress. This was a special project only because no matter how many backup links, bookmarks you can create, manage and hold on to there is always something that you will work on where you just can’t seem to find it. We have a huge list of links and resources that are always available in case we need to go back and re-study them to complete something unique. This happen to us on this project when it came to creating a Wordpress website design and development in need to use the Accordion Vertical Sliding menu.

Having to look for a new source, using Google and MSN we noticed that we haven’t found many places that incorporate this effect well into Wordpress. Specially when your client wants quite a few custom features in it. On our search and find mission, we went through quite a bit of date, trials, tutorials and others. We’ve played around with few ideas in our heads, within the HTML and PHP coding but no matter how we tried to wrap out head around, nothing seems to work just the way our client and our team would of liked. read more
